The Miller Rose Homecare Hub
When something needs fixing, the Homecare Hub makes it simple. Our maintenance reporting system, powered by Fixflo, is available 24/7 — so you can report an issue at any time, attach photos, and track progress without having to chase anyone.
Reports come straight through to our team. We’ll review promptly, arrange the right contractor, and keep you updated at every stage. You can report anything from plumbing and heating issues to damp, electrical faults, damaged locks, and general repairs.
For emergencies — gas leaks, flooding, or anything posing an immediate safety risk — call us directly on 0121 347 6116. Outside office hours, contact the relevant emergency service first.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I report a maintenance issue?
You can submit maintenance requests via the HomeCare hub, or get in touch with our lettings team directly — by phone, email, or through the contact form on this page. We take maintenance seriously and aim to respond to all reports promptly. For anything urgent, always call us so we can act straightaway. We believe issues should be dealt with quickly, not left to chase.
Are your rental properties deposit protected?
Yes, always. All deposits held on properties managed by Miller Rose are protected in a government-approved scheme, as required by law. You’ll receive the details of your deposit protection within 30 days of paying. If you have any questions about your deposit at any stage of your tenancy, just ask us.
What happens when my fixed-term tenancy ends?
When your fixed term comes to an end, your tenancy will usually roll into a periodic tenancy – sometimes called a rolling tenancy – unless you and your landlord agree a new fixed term. A periodic tenancy continues on the same terms, typically month to month. We’ll always be in touch ahead of your end date to talk through your options, so you’re never left in the dark about where you stand.
How long does the referencing process take?
Referencing typically takes three to five working days, though this can vary depending on how quickly references come back from employers or previous landlords. We’ll keep you updated throughout and let you know straightaway if we need anything from you to keep things moving. The clearer the information you provide upfront, the smoother it tends to go.
Can my landlord increase my rent, and how much notice do I need?
Your landlord can review your rent, but there are rules about how and when they can do it. For periodic tenancies, landlords must give at least two months’ written notice of any rent increase using a Section 13 notice, and increases can only happen once every 12 months. Any increase should reflect the local market – not just be applied arbitrarily. If you’re unsure whether a proposed increase is reasonable or has been handled correctly, get in touch and we’ll talk you through it.
Already renting with us and need support?
Good tenant services go beyond finding you a property. They’re about what happens after you move in – the responsiveness, the communication, and the confidence that someone is looking after things properly. That’s what we aim to provide at Miller Rose, for every tenant, across every property we manage in Birmingham and the West Midlands. If you have a question, need support, or just want to talk through your options, we’re here.
